Holding a session at Spread a Smile was truly a once in a lifetime experience. It was my first time pitching in to helping young underprivileged girls and women be aware of Cervical cancer and its vaccine; it was very interesting. Handing out fliers, helping them understand the topic and just visiting this NGO brought a smile to my face. One thing that I could work on is being more comfortable talking in hindi. Personally I am able to explain the topic better in English, so being more comfortable speaking in hindi would definitely help me. Additionally, I wasn’t very informed about Cervical cancer and how dangerous it was, so joining the programme helped me understand it as well. Overall, the whole experience of meeting these young girls and raising awareness about Cervical cancer was great and I am glad that I could help in making an impact in their lives.
